Sinkhole: Roadway Closed In Toms River

A roadway in Ocean County that collapsed due to a large sinkhole.is closed to all traffic, police said.

On Monday, the sinkhole opened up on Windsor Avenue, Toms River police said.

The Municipal Utilities Authority and SUEZ are currently working to repair it, police said on Tuesday afternoon.

Windsor Avenue, between League Road and Garfield Avenue will remain closed until repairs are complete, police said, warning the public to avoid the area.
